Important: Budapest to see restrictions due to events on Saturday

Significant restrictions are to be expected on Saturday in Budapest due to events, the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) said on Friday.
According to their statement, a motorcycle parade will be held on Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM, starting from Heroes’ Square and passing through the city centre, the Liberty Bridge, the Buda quays, the Grand Boulevard and Andrássy Avenue. The chariot festival will then begin at 2 PM, with participants starting from the city centre and proceeding along Andrássy Avenue to Városliget, where they are expected to arrive at 4 PM.
During the restrictions, BKK recommends using the metro in particular.
Traffic restrictions in Budapest
Due to the motorcycle parade, on Saturday between 11 AM and 2 PM, the traffic will be closed along the following route:
Dózsa György Street – Heroes’ Square – Városligeti fasor – Bajza Street – Damjanich Street – Rottenbiller Street – Rákóczi Street – Astoria – Museum Boulevard – Kálvin Square – Vámház Boulevard – Szabadság Bridge – Szent Gellért quay – Döbrentei Square – Friedrich Born quay – Sztehlo Gábor quay – Bem quay – Gyóni Gézi Square – Margaret Bridge – Szent István Boulevard – Teréz Boulevard – Andrássy Avenue – Heroes’ Square – Dózsa György Street – Gundel Károly Boulevard – Zoo Boulevard (Állatkerti körút) – Hermina Street – Ajtósi Dürer sor – Stefánia Street.

During the motorcycle procession, the lanes in the direction of travel will be closed and cross-traffic will be stopped for 5-10 minutes, according to the report.
BKK said that due to the Chariot Festival, traffic on Andrássy Avenue and the streets crossing it will be restricted between 2 PM and 4 PM until the participants leave.
The restrictions also affect public transport, said the company, which recommends using the BudapestGO app to plan your journey.
